He holds a National Diploma in Nautical Science (N/SC) from the Federal College of Fisheries and Marine Technology (FCFMT) and is certified as an Unlimited Master/Skipper for all waters through the Maritime Academy of Nigeria (Oron), NIMASA, and Ghana Maritime University (GMA). His credentials are further reinforced by specialized STCW certifications and a Proficiency Certificate in Ship Handling & STS Operations.
With over 27 years of experience as an officer and master, Capt. Ogunsakin has commanded various ocean-going vessels, offshore service vessels, general cargo ships, and product/crude oil tankers, demonstrating exceptional expertise in maritime operations. Beyond his seafaring career, he pursued academic excellence, earning a BSc/MSc in Maritime Security & Safety Management (MSS) from City University, Cambodia, where he was recognized as the best overall student of his MSc cohort and later certified as a Maritime Security Expert.
